A Nyoongar artist, who specialises in Landscapes, Dot. and fauna paintings.

Dean has a unique style. He can incorporate traditional Aboriginal art, with modern Aboriginal art. Dean’s vast talents enable him to work with various paints, and a range of blank canvases. He can paint on, canvas, ceramic plates and emu eggs, using acrylics or oil.

The beauty of the Australian outback inspires Dean and that reflects in his landscape paintings. The more traditional art is inspired by his heritage and culture.

Dean’s design for decorative dome was exhibited at the Australian Heritage commission, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Heritage art award 1994/1995. Dean also won a commendation in the National Dulux colour awards.

Dean was born in Moora Western Australia, and is part of the Yuat tribe. He now resides in Leonora, where there is a vast source of inspiration for his artwork.
